With its nutritional information listed on the front label - 96 calories and 3.2 grams of carbohydrate - it is clear that this beer has positioned itself to woo ladies who want to chug with minimal guilt. Initially marketed as the "dieter's beer", this is most suitable for newbies seeking a "training beer", or those who like their beers mild and clean-tasting (there is very little aftertaste). However, those who like their beers with a little more flavour may find this lightweight option slightly watered-down. Straw coloured and fizzy, this brew is a four-time World Beer Cup Gold award winner for "best American-style light lager".

Don't let its pale and cloudy yellow appearance mislead you, this much-loved Belgian wheat beer has a flavour that is complex: the addition of orange peel and coriander during the brewing process endows the brew with hints of citrus and spice. It is not too gassy, has a smooth finish and is well rounded with a pleasant bitter edge.

This fruit beer is an example of "lambic beer", where no additional yeast is introduced during brewing. This creates a taste that is less malty than other beers. A rich golden colour, this lightweight beer smells like ripe peaches. Ladies will love its effervescence, sweetness and acidity reminiscent of a peach bellini.

Fuller's Organic Honey Dew Beer

Touted as the UK's leading organic beer, this is a refreshing brew with a good balance of bitter and sweet. Take a sniff of this golden honey-coloured beer, and you'll detect floral notes. It starts off sweet and fizzy but mellows to a medium-bodied beer with a bitter and zesty aftertaste. We're especially impressed by the addition of organic honey (hence the name) during brewing.

This beer bottle features the silhouette of a lady in a fuschia background, suggesting that the brew is probably targeted at woman. This wheat beer is blended with 10 percent raspberries, resulting in an attractive pink tinge and a sweet raspberry jam smell. It also tastes quite fruity, perfect for ladies who want something refreshing without being sickly sweet.
