Good news for all durian lovers! The much-awaited annual Durian Fiesta at Goodwood Park Hotel’s Deli is back on 1 March to 31 July 2012!
This year, get ready to feast on 10 varieties of creative and absolutely delectable durian pastries and cakes, including some of their signatures and new creations. Made with only the finest D24 durians, these aromatic treats will surely satisfy your craving for the king of fruits.
Taking centre stage are new delights such as the Durian Macadamia Nut Crumble Tartlet ($10.80 for 2 pieces; $28.80 for 6 pieces), a petite, nutty and crunchy tart filled with smooth creamy durian pulp and Durian Banana Chocolate Mousse Cake ($10.80 per slice; $58 for 1.3kg), a flavourful mousse cake that combines thick durian mousse with caramelized banana chunks, while the chocolate gives the offering an extra sweetness.
Durian Macadamia Nut Crumble Tartlet
Other classic and popular items include the all-time favourite Durian Mousse Cake ($10.80 per slice; $58 for 1.3kg; $112 for 2.5kg; $155 for 3.5kg) where every bite is filled with rich creamy durian pulp, Durian Strudel ($10.80 per slice; $55 for 1kg), which is baked to glistening brown and filled with durian pulp and vanilla sponge between crisp and flaky pastry, the powerhouse “Mao Shan” Power Puff ($16.80 per piece) and Durian Puff ($6 for 2 pieces; $17 for 6 pieces; $45 for 20 pieces) which are stuffed generously with huge chunks of smooth and rich durian mousse in between two light choux pastry pieces and many more. The “Mao Shan” Power Puff in particular, is a must have for any durian lover. Available only from 1 to 30 June, these mega sized profiteroles explode with extreme pleasure with every bite. Be careful though: it’s so addictive that you might end up having more than one or two.
Durian Banana Chocolate Mousse Cake
There are so many yummy creations to choose from. If you can’t decide what to try or just simply want to eat your heart out this Durian Fiesta, go for their Durian Combo at a special price of $32.80+ (usual price $43.80+) from 1 to 31 March, which includes a piece of durian mousse cake, durian banana chocolate mousse cake, durian macadamia nut crumble tartlet and two pieces of the durian puffs. It lets you try a bit of everything and lets you eat to your heart’s content!
